Choosing a shipping method is a balance between cost, speed and the risk profile of your goods. Yiwu ships to almost every major destination, but the right option depends on volume, value and how quickly you need stock.

Sea freight

Sea freight is the default for volume orders. A full container load (FCL) is efficient once your cargo fills a 20ft or 40ft container. Less than container load (LCL) consolidation suits smaller shipments that do not justify a full box. Transit times typically run from 15 to 45 days depending on the route.

Air freight

Air freight moves in 5 to 10 days and suits high-value, lightweight or time-sensitive products. The cost per kilogram is higher, and packaging must be strong enough for air handling.

Express courier

Express services are practical for samples and small parcels under about 100kg, with delivery in roughly 3 to 7 days. For regular replenishment the per-kilogram cost usually becomes too high.

What to prepare

  • Commercial invoice and packing list with accurate values
  • Product description that matches the HS code
  • Carton marks and labels required by the destination
  • Any certificate the destination customs authority asks for

Plan the handover

Book space before production finishes, confirm the loading date with the factory, and ask for loading photos or a short video. For consolidated cargo, check that every supplier’s cartons were received and counted before the container is sealed.
